Carmela Loiacono
Art Historian & Independent Curator

About me
Graduated in Art History at the University of Bari (Puglia), I have collaborated with private organizations since 2015, first as project coordinator and then as curator, organizing more than 50 contemporary art exhibitions in Italy (Venice, Rome, Matera, Bari) and also in New York, Buenos Aires and Bogotá.
From 2024 I’m working as an independent curator, organizing art exhibitions and projects with the aim of supporting artists in their career growth.
Create a new art exhibition or project is always a new beginning, combined with a whirlwind of emotions and sensations.
All artists are unique and inimitable for me, they become precious treasures, new discoveries from which to learn so much and understand how art has so many incredible facets always new and wonderful.
More over each piece of art is part of every single artist, it represents history, experiences, emotions, culture, creativity and professionalism of each artist selected.
From all artists I can grasp a part that enriches me first as a person and then as a curator.
Being a curator means caring for artists and accompanying them on a path that can be an exhibition or other project that we would like to create together.

ArtIdentity™
My Method, Designed for Every Artist
Every artist has a unique voice.
Yet too often, it remains hidden, overshadowed by the noise of the world or by self-doubt. The ArtIdentity™ Method was born from my experiences, my understanding of the art world, and the professional skills I have developed over the years. It is a journey I created with you in mind: to support each artist in their uniqueness, guiding them strategically toward recognition and visibility.
